Why Our Goals Are Not Being Met
Are you showing up for yourself or are you just voicing what isn't going right for you? Do you find yourself saying, "I can't lose weight." "I have no money." "None of my clothes fit." If you find yourself saying statements like this aloud or even to yourself, think about what that is saying to yourself. It's constantly reminding yourself of where you don't want to be, instead of reminding yourself of where you want to be. Like attracts like, right? So if you are constantly talking bad about your body in any way, why would you sub-consciously do things things to get you closer to your goal??
I know this may sound a little crazy, but seriously, take note of how many negatives statements you say. So let's take losing weight as one of your goals, as that is what I hear about a lot from you guys. Take a journal or even mark it in the notes section on your phone of how many times you either say something out loud about your body, or think it in your head. You will be astonished. The things some of us would say to ourselves we would never even think about saying to others.
Now that we have become aware of it, what can we do to change this?? This next part takes a lot of learning, and we are definitely never perfect. The next time you are looking in the mirror concentrate on something of your body that you are happy about, or that you feel good about. Pay attention to it and point it out. Buy clothing that accentuates that area, or bring attention to it with your clothing. You will catch yourself saying things like I can't lose weight etc. When you say it, make note of it, and instead while you are working out, or eating something healthy talk about or think about how these small steps are going to get you to your goal, or help you fit into your clothes.
You see, when we start thinking positively about your goals, we will do the positive things to make them happen. Try it. You are worth it, and hey, what's wrong with being nice to yourself, anyways??
WITH LOVE,
