Fall Birthday Party
As we are starting to plan for Kensie's 2nd birthday party, I thought I would share the fun details of her 1st!! I can't believe how much she has grown since then!!! This day was by far one of my most favorite days to date. We had so much fun!!!!
My amazing sister-in-law and brother-in-law set up this adorable back drop for everyone to take pictures.
She captured the most adorable photos of the families that came.
We found this awesome idea on Pinterest and decided to try it out. Let me tell you, helium balloons are the way to go for a one year old. She absolutely LOVED these balloons and had a blast playing with them. We used golf tees to keep them down and purchased the balloons and the helium and did it ourselves.
For one of the activities, we painted small pumpkins for every child to take home with them. We used kitchen garbage bags, and cut out a hole at the top and two on the sides for them to wear as smocks.
My father-in-law gave us the best idea for an activity for the kids. We spread out a bale of hay on tarp and hid a bunch of different prized and money. They each had a bag and could keep whatever they found. We let the younger children go first and then the older ones. The kids had so much fun finding the treasures.
Her cake was delicious, although she was not a fan of cake. It was her first time eating it and was disgusted by it :)
We also had popcorn in the pink and orange containers as snacks for everyone.
We served mini sandwiches, with a quinoa salad, chips and veggies with hummus, and a fruit salad. I'm so excited for her 2nd birthday!!!
