My mornings
I get a lot of weird looks when I tell people that I wake up by choice at 4 am almost everyday. But the truth is that is all I know. I’ve been doing it so long I don’t know any different. And in all honesty, if it was the other way around, I wouldn’t be as productive at night. I would be doing things like looking at my phone and watching tv instead of things that fill my soul and connect me more to me, God, and my spiritual team.
I know that my day is much different when I start it off this way. It isn’t always the same, as I do listen to what my body and soul need day to day, but here is what a typical morning looks like:
4:00 am-alarm goes off. I would love to say this isn’t on my phone but it is. I put my phone on airplane mode, so I can’t see any notifications, and my next step is to put my phone in another room and buy an actual alarm clock!
4:00 am-pray—my prayer usually sounds something like this: Thank you for this day. I invite you in. Thank you for guiding me, loving me, and always walking by my side.
4:01-drink at least 16 oz of water. Sometimes I have a celery juice after this, but I haven’t had it consistently lately—mainly because I’m sick of cleaning out my juicer every day!!
4:05-meditate-this changes often. I meditate anywhere from 5-15 minutes a day. Sometimes I do a guided meditation from the Insight Timer app, or the Calm app. Other times I use my meditation playlist and meditate on my own. Again it’s all in what my soul is calling for.
4:20-coffee-ahhhh a warm cup of coffee and with my yummy homemade creamer
4:25-plan out the day and gratitude. I use this planner. I have used it for 3 years now and love it and love all of her work. I plan my week out ahead of time, but the morning is when I set my 3 big goals I want to get accomplished that day and make sure I have everything time blocked for the day.
4:30-journal-I swear each time frame I want to write this is my favorite part!! They truly do fill the soul. Journaling is where I set my phone timer for 10 minutes, play this playlist, and just start writing anything and everything that comes to my head.
4:35-visualize-this I adapted from the amazing Rachel Hollis. I write down 10 goals that I want to accomplish in 10 years in the present tense, with one big goal that would get you there. You can check out here process HERE.
4:45-change/wash face/etc-basically I change to get my workout on!
5:00-workout-I either am teaching my live workouts at this time, or doing some sort of fun cardio workout.
5:30-shower and get ready for the day!!
I know I always love hearing what other people do for their morning routine, so I hope you enjoyed this! Stay tuned for next week of the 5 benefits from starting a similar morning routine. Share your morning routines below!! I love to hear!!!!
Sending so much love to you!!
